BEETLE HOUSE

Beetle House is a year-round celebration of Halloween, with a thematic atmosphere inspired by horror culture, magic, and the artistic, literary, and cinematic works of many revered legends such as Washington Irving, Bram Stoker, Edgar Allan Poe, Wes Craven, Tim Burton and many others. In short, we’re like an adult Halloween party with a Burtonesque feel, a dash of a 90s goth band, a touch of emo, and a diabolical dose of cosplay. We are a safe place where every goth, punk, freak, weirdo, artist, and visitor is welcomed and celebrated.
Beetle House was created by Zach Neil and opened as a pop-up restaurant in New York City in April of 2016 and in Los Angeles in 2017. Due to its demand, Beetle House lives, haunts, and thrives to this day and will for as long as you will keep coming!

Beetle house is not affiliated with or in partnership with any one specific, film, studio, Producer, or television program. All of our productions are inspired by or parody versions or original creations, and in no way should be misconstrued as a direct affiliation or partnership with any film studio or Producer.

FAQ

DO I NEED A RESERVATION TO VISIT BEETLE HOUSE?

We require a credit card to secure a table reservation for dinner service only. No, reservations are to guarantee dinner service only. Simply put, if you want to guarantee a spot for yourself to eat, we recommend making a reservation as we are a busy restaurant and we book up very fast. No reservations are required or accepted for drinks or bar service. Reservations are for eating only. We also generally have tables available for eating on the weekdays and we do accept walk ins on a first come first serve basis. The bar is ALWAYS walk in for drinks. 

HOW DO I MAKE A RESERVATION TO VISIT BEETLE HOUSE?

Follow the reservations or booking tabs from our website to make a reservation. Make sure to provide your correct email address and cell phone number as that is how you confirm your reservation and get notifications.

WHY DO I NEED A CREDIT CARD TO BOOK A RESERVATION?

We require a credit card to secure a table reservation for dinner service only.

HOW DO I CANCEL A RESERVATION AND WILL I BE CHARGED?

We require a credit card to secure a table reservation for dinner service only. A $60 charge per head for no-shows and cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice will apply. There is no charge if you cancel at least 24 hours in advance. Please email info@beetlehousenyc.com if you are experiencing any problems canceling your reservation.

WHAT IF I NEED TO REDUCE OR INCREASE MY PARTY SIZE? WILL I BE CHARGED?

You reduce or increase your party size the same way you made the reservation – through the service. Simply follow the links in your confirmation email to log back into your reservation. If you are reducing your party size, you must do so no less than 24 hours in advance or you will be charged $60 per person that is reduced.

If you would like to increase your party size, you may also do that through the reservation service. If the reservation service won’t allow it, that means we do not have the room available for your increase, you can email info@beetlehousenyc.com to confirm.

WHAT SHOULD I TIP?

All orders will be assessed an automatic 18% gratuity which goes entirely to the staff

WHY DOESN'T ANYONE ANSWER THE PHONE WHEN I CALL?

We use an automated messaging system and a fully automated booking and communication system because we are a small independently owned and operated business. We do not have a call center or a team of dedicated phone engineers to handle the 300-500 calls per day that we receive. We do however check our voice messages twice per day and return all calls within 24-48 hours.

WHEN AND WHY SHOULD I CONTACT BEETLE HOUSE BY PHONE OR EMAIL?

As stated above, we have streamlined the process of making and changing and canceling reservations so that the customer has all the control and should never need to interact with the restaurant for that process. However, we do have a dedicated phone mailbox specifically for the following reasons; For parties of 10 or more, special events, for renting out Beetle House, catering, lost or found items at Beetle House or to report a problem.

ARE YOU NUT AND ALLERGY FREE/SAFE

No, unfortunately, we are not able to guarantee that any of our food products are safe from tree nuts, shellfish, mushrooms, or other common food allergies.

DO YOU OFFER VEGAN OR VEGETARIAN DISHES?

Yes.

ARE YOU AFFILIATED WITH DIRECTORS, ACTORS OR MOVIE STUDIOS?

No.

DO YOU ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS?

Yes!

ARE YOU HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE?

Yes we are!

CAN WE BRING THE KIDS?

Yes, however some of the characters and entertainers could be scary to children under 10 years old so do so at your own risk. We have had hundreds of families and small children eating here and have had good response from them.

DO YOU HAVE A CHILDREN'S MENU?

Yes! Please ask your server about our kid’s 12 and under menu.

CAN WE BRING OUR OWN CAKE, DESSERT ITEM, WINE, ETC?

No! It is a violation of the health code to allow the serving or consumption of outside food or beverages in our establishment. However, we offer a great selection of deserts.
